Domestic electrical work is where Acorn started, and it still sits behind almost everything else we do. Phill is Part P and 18th Edition qualified, and every circuit we install or alter is tested and certificated to current regulations before we leave.

Often, yes. It depends what else is on the circuit and how it's protected. We check the existing installation first — if adding load isn't sensible, we'll tell you what a dedicated circuit would involve instead.
Sometimes. Where a wall chase is needed the cable is run in a permitted zone, protected, and the chase is filled and made good. We'll explain the route before we start so there are no surprises.
Usually. If the existing cable has enough slack or can be safely extended in an accessible position, the move is straightforward. Where it can't be, we'll quote for a clean re-run rather than bury a joint somewhere it shouldn't be.
We fill and make good, which normally leaves a surface ready for decoration. If a large area is disturbed on a lath-and-plaster wall, we'll flag that before starting.
Sometimes, if the circuit has capacity and appropriate RCD protection. For anything more than occasional garden tool use — a workshop, for example — a dedicated supply is the better long-term answer.
Armoured cable to an outbuilding is buried at a sufficient depth with warning tape above it and mechanical protection where required. We'll agree the route with you before any digging.
Fewer than most people expect. Spacing depends on ceiling height, beam angle and what the room is for. We'd rather use six well-placed fittings with a dimmer than twelve at full output.
Cut-outs are neat and sized to the fitting, so the trim covers the opening. Where joists or existing services get in the way we adjust positions on site — which is why we set out before cutting.
